Growing and selling food and flowers is our story and our methods point to a new direction in rural food access

In a perfect world we would be surrounded by food, on trees and in the earth, free for all to pick and eat… the original Earth Candy. Our Farm and Market aim to recreate that feeling of abundance and freedom. “Food should be free!” (said by us farmers who have to make a living selling the food we grow!).

When you enter our shop you will find only ingredients: the best organic products from our own farm in combination with organic, farm-direct products from Salt Spring and around the world. Eat a piece of fruit, chat with the farmers, let your kids run free; this is certainly not a grocery store. We have melded our passion for farming with our passion for food sourcing and food accessibility. We hunt down the best products and then purchase them directly from producers.  This ensures that we have the fairest prices, freshest crop, best varieties and that we are supporting other family farms in the process. We go to great lengths to make our products affordable, with a range of options for every budget (ask about our end of day discount box!). We truly want to make it EASY for you to eat the best food on earth.

This is a community project. Food for the people! You won’t find any sales or gimmicks here (except for our addictive homemade chocolate bars); just good food at a fair price. Join us in our experiment as we take a departure from the paradigm of food as a commodity and embrace the idea of food sovereignty.
